Paul’s Encouragement to the Believers in Rome – An Excerpt from a Study

Insight: Romans 1:1-17; 8:28, 38-39; 12:9-21

After Christ’s death and Resurrection many Christians trusted in Him. This angered the Jewish leaders, Paul (formerly Saul) being one of them at the time. Paul had a life-changing experience when he was blinded for three days in the presence of God. He converted to Christianity and then went on missionary journeys sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.

God and People

God set apart Paul to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of Christ. God works for the good for all that love Him. Paul served God in his preaching of the gospel. As a missionary, he longed to visit others.

Jesus

The gospel is Jesus Christ, appointed the Son of God in Power by His Resurrection from the dead (Romans 1:4). The gospel brings salvation to everyone that believes in Jesus for the forgiveness of their sins. The love of God is in Jesus our Lord.
