Faith is a Gift

The opportunity to come into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ is called faith. Faith is a gift from God as His grace – we cannot earn it. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.”

In these trying times we might be looking for something to “hang onto” or some kind of assurance that today and tomorrow are going to be ok.

If you are ready to respond to God, then you can do that right now. You do not need to wait for somebody to talk to you or something else to happen. Trust God right now for the forgiveness of your sins and to accept Him as the Lord of your life. You can say words similar to these right now: “God, I know that I am a sinner and I fall short of what your Word says in the Bible. I am sorry for my sins and ask you for mercy and forgiveness. I want to trust you and your Word, the Bible, forevermore. Thank you for sending Jesus Christ to die on the cross as a sacrifice for my sin. Thus I will not bear the penalty of eternal separation from you, but rather, eternal life.”

If you have prayed words similar to these then you now have the capacity to trust God by the faith he has given you. He will make your day brighter!
